Death of the frogs
I read an article in the New York Times today about frogs going extinct. It made me a litte upset. It gave me a feeling of powerlessness that the web of life is eroding possibly faster than we can imagine.
I was feeling frustrated about what I can do...
I don't recycle all the time. I do sometimes but the kitchen gets cluttered and In order to keep some kind of sanity I have to sling everything in a black bin liner.
I am growing a bonsai. (I am even planning to pot it up in spring, with special bonsai soil & pot). I could grow herbs. I could walk more often and further. I could have a re-usable cup.
One thing that frustrates me is people (I'm meaning mostly family) who are jetting off to foreign countries, including long haul more often than a rat up a drain pipe!(sorry mum if you are reading this).
They all have cars, they all have the latest TV's (ok maybe not the latest). They shop amazon mindlessly.
I am not perfect but they don't even really try.
I feel like until fire is literally raining from the sky they won't wake up, even then is doubtful.
Its a dumpster fire honestly...
